Responsibilities
- Assess and prioritize patient triage using Emergency Severity Index (ESI) protocols
- Collaborate with physicians and specialists to develop efficient care pathways
- Provide expert medical advice via telehealth and phone triage systems
- Document patient encounters with precision in Epic EMR
- Maintain compliance with JCAHO and OSHA standards
- Mentor junior staff through evidence-based practice initiatives
Qualifications
- BSN degree with 3+ years emergency department experience
- Current Nebraska RN license and BLS/ACLS certifications
- ENPC or TNCC certification required
- Proven expertise in rapid patient assessment and intervention
- Exceptional communication skills for high-stress environments
- Experience with telehealth triage platforms preferred
