Responsibilities
- Chairside Assistance: Assist the dentist during examinations, treatments, and procedures with precision and efficiency.
- Patient Care: Build rapport with patients, explain procedures, and ensure a comfortable and anxiety-free experience.
- Sterilization & Safety: Adhere strictly to OSHA and CDC guidelines for infection control and maintain a clean, sterile operatory.
- Record Keeping: accurately update patient charts, medical histories, and treatment plans in our dental software.
- Lab Work: Prepare impressions, temporary crowns, and perform basic dental lab duties.
- Front Office Support: Manage patient scheduling, confirm appointments, and handle basic insurance inquiries.
Qualifications
- Education: Graduation from an accredited Dental Assistant program is required.
- Licensure: Current DANB (Nebula) or NCBTMB certification, and a valid North Carolina X-ray license.
- CPR Certification: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a general dentistry practice preferred.
- Skills: Proficiency with dental software (e.g., Eaglesoft, Dentrix) is a plus.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a patient-first attitude.
