As a Home Health Aide, you will provide essential personal care and companionship to clients in the comfort of their own homes. This role offers the flexibility to build lasting relationships with clients while enjoying a competitive benefits package and a supportive work culture.
Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, and oral hygiene.
- Mobility Support: Help clients move safely around their home, including transferring from bed to chair or using walkers/crutches.
- Medication Reminders: Prompt clients to take prescription medications on schedule and observe for any adverse reactions.
- Light Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and safe living environment by performing light cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation.
- Companionship: Engage clients in conversation, hobbies, and social activities to reduce isolation and promote mental well-being.
- Vital Signs: Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse as directed by the nursing staff.
Qualifications
- Certification: Must hold a valid Nevada Home Health Aide (HHA) certificate or State Tested Nurse Aide (STNA) license.
- Driver's License: Valid, current driver’s license and reliable transportation are required for this position.
- CPR/First Aid: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification.
- Experience: Previous experience in home care, assisted living, or long-term care is highly preferred.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to follow instructions precisely.
- Compassion: A genuine passion for helping others and the ability to remain patient and empathetic in various situations.
