Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, take vital signs, and prepare patients for examinations.
- Assist physicians with minor procedures and clinical examinations.
- Manage front desk duties including scheduling, patient check-ins, and insurance verification.
- Collect and process lab specimens accurately and timely.
- Provide patient education regarding medications and treatment plans.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized clinical environment.
- Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA regulations and office protocols.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) credential required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- 1-2 years of clinical experience in a physician's office or clinic setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Proficient in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
