Responsibilities
- Prepare and dispense prescription medications accurately according to physician orders.
- Verify patient information, insurance details, and prescription details.
- Manage inventory, including checking stock levels and ordering supplies.
- Assist patients with medication questions and insurance processing.
- Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA regulations and pharmacy safety protocols.
- Collaborate with pharmacists to ensure quality patient care.
- Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate cash drawer balances.
Qualifications
- Valid Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) in the state of Illinois.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced setting.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift boxes up to 25 lbs.
- Basic computer proficiency and experience with pharmacy software.
