SmileCraft Dental Associates is seeking a compassionate and skilled Part-Time Dental Assistant to deliver exceptional patient care in a modern, patient-centric environment. Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorations, extractions, and orthodontic work
- Prepare and sterilize instruments/equipment following OSHA and CDC protocols
- Take digital radiographs and develop diagnostic images
- Manage patient flow and ensure optimal clinical efficiency
- Perform chairside assistance with expanded functions (coronal polishing, sealants)
- Maintain accurate digital patient records using Dentrix/Eaglesoft
- Train patients on post-operative care and oral hygiene techniques
Qualifications
- New York State Dental Assistant Certification (DANB or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Proficiency in digital radiography and imaging software
- Strong knowledge of infection control protocols
- Exceptional communication and chairside manner
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to cover some evening/weekend shifts
