Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding clients with dietary restrictions.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the client's quality of life.
- Perform light housekeeping duties, such as laundry and light cleaning, to maintain a safe environment.
- Administer medication reminders as directed by the supervising nurse or physician.
- Monitor and report changes in the client's physical or emotional condition to the case manager.
- Transport clients to medical appointments or recreational activities as needed.
Qualifications
- Certified Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- Valid California Driver's License and reliable transportation.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to handle physical demands of the job, including lifting and assisting patients.
- Pass a background check and drug screening.
- Previous experience in home health or geriatric care is a plus.
