Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor health status continuously.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict adherence to medical orders and hospital protocols.
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans tailored to patient needs.
- Collaborate closely with physicians, therapists, and the wider healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and post-care instructions.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all clinical activities and patient interactions.
- Respond promptly to emergencies and adapt quickly to changing unit dynamics.
Qualifications
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Tennessee.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS/PALS certification as per specialty.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a focus on patient advocacy.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
