Responsibilities
- Personal Care Assistance: Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Medication Management: Remind clients to take prescribed medications and report any side effects or missed doses to the supervising nurse.
- Light Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment for clients.
- Companionship: Provide emotional support and engage clients in conversation, games, and recreational activities to prevent isolation.
- Vital Monitoring: Track and record daily vital signs such as weight, temperature, and blood pressure.
- Transportation: Drive clients to medical appointments, grocery shopping, or social events as needed.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Certification: Current Texas Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in home care or personal care is highly valued.
- Driving: Valid Texas driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.
- Background Check: Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
- Soft Skills: Demonstrated patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
