As a Home Health Aide, you will provide essential personal care services to clients in their homes, helping them maintain their independence and dignity. If you have a passion for healthcare and a warm demeanor, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Medication Management: Remind clients to take prescribed medications at the scheduled times.
- Companionship: Engage clients in conversation, activities, and socialization to promote mental well-being.
- Light Housekeeping: Perform light cleaning tasks such as laundry, meal preparation, and tidying the living space.
- Vital Signs: Monitor and report changes in client health, appetite, and mood to the supervising nurse.
- Transportation: Provide non-medical transportation to medical appointments or errands when needed.
- Documentation: Accurately complete daily care logs and progress notes.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Completion of a state-approved Home Health Aide training program is preferred.
- Certification: Valid Washington State Home Care Aide (HCA) or Personal Care Assistant (PCA) certification is required.
- License: Valid Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in home care or a related healthcare field.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and the ability to work independently.
- Background: Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
