Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough virtual patient assessments via phone/video to determine urgency and appropriate care pathways
- Provide expert clinical guidance to patients experiencing acute symptoms or chronic condition exacerbations
- Accurately document patient encounters in our EHR system while maintaining HIPAA compliance
- Collaborate with on-site providers and specialists to coordinate seamless care transitions
- Educate patients on self-care management, medication protocols, and when to seek emergency care
- Manage high call volumes efficiently using evidence-based triage protocols
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives and telehealth training
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Nebraska (or compact license with ability to obtain NE license)
- Minimum 3 years clinical experience in emergency, urgent care, or telehealth setting
- BLS/ACLS certification required; PALS preferred
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities under pressure
- Proficiency in telehealth platforms and EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
- Strong communication skills with ability to de-escalate anxious patients
- Self-motivated with proven ability to work independently in remote environment
- Experience with triage protocols (e.g., ESI, Manchester Triage Scale)
