Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with dignity and respect.
- Monitor patient health status, vital signs, and report any changes or concerns immediately to the registered nurse or case manager.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with light housekeeping, laundry, and errands to ensure a safe living environment.
- Provide companionship and emotional support, actively engaging patients in conversation and activities.
- Transport patients to medical appointments, therapy sessions, or social activities as required.
- Administer prescribed medications and document all care provided accurately and on time.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Certification as a CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) or STNA (State Tested Nursing Assistant) is highly preferred.
- Current, valid state driver's license and proof of auto insurance are required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is a plus.
- Ability to safely lift and transfer patients weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Must pass a background check, drug screen, and reference verification.
