Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Medication Management: Remind clients to take their prescribed medications and report any changes in health status to the nursing team.
- Companionship: Provide emotional support and engage clients in meaningful conversations and recreational activities to improve mental well-being.
- Household Support: Perform light housekeeping tasks, including meal preparation and laundry, to ensure a safe and clean living environment.
- Vital Signs: Monitor and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse) as directed by the supervising nurse.
- Transportation: Assist with transportation to medical appointments or errands using your personal vehicle.
- Documentation: Accurately complete and maintain daily logs and incident reports.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Certification: Current CNA or PCA certification is preferred; Home Health Aide certification is a plus.
- Experience: Previous experience in home care, nursing, or caregiving is highly desirable.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
- Health: Current TB test and negative background check results.
- Skills: Strong communication skills, patience, empathy, and the ability to work independently.
- Availability: Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
