Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to ensure clients feel safe, happy, and engaged.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with light housekeeping and laundry.
- Medication reminders and monitoring of health changes to report to supervisors.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments, social outings, and errands.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for clients.
Qualifications
- Valid New York State Home Health Aide (HHA) or Personal Care Attendant (PCA) certification required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Excellent communication skills and a patient, caring demeanor.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
