Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper techniques
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed
- Monitor vital signs and report changes to clinical staff
- Administer prescribed medications under supervision
- Light housekeeping tasks and client-specific errands
- Document care activities accurately and maintain confidential records
- Transport clients to appointments and social activities
Qualifications
- Massachusetts HHA certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Minimum 1 year professional caregiving experience
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical tasks
- Valid Massachusetts driver's license and reliable vehicle
- Clear background check and TB test
- Strong communication skills and cultural sensitivity
- Ability to work independently and follow care plans precisely
