Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance including bathing, dressing, and mobility support using provided equipment
- Monitor vital signs and document patient observations in electronic health records
- Assist with prescribed exercises and mobility protocols using specialized equipment
- Prepare nutritious meals and ensure patient hydration needs are met
- Administer medications under supervision using provided dispensing tools
- Maintain clean, safe home environments following infection control protocols
- Transport patients to medical appointments using agency-provided vehicles
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months home health aide or personal care experience
- Current California HHA certification or CNA license
- Valid California driver's license with clean driving record
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to safely lift 50 lbs and operate provided medical equipment
- Clear TB test and physical examination
- Strong communication skills in English (Spanish bilingual preferred)
- Reliable transportation to assignments throughout Oakland
