Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance (bathing, dressing, grooming)
- Administer prescribed medications under supervision
- Monitor vital signs and report changes to clinical staff
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding
- Operate provided medical equipment (oxygen, mobility aids)
- Document patient care accurately in electronic records
- Transport clients to appointments (mileage reimbursed)
Qualifications
- New York State HHA certification or willingness to obtain
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with proper equipment
- Strong communication and empathy skills
- Basic computer proficiency for documentation
- Must pass background check and drug screening
- Experience with medical equipment handling preferred
