- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections with precision and patient comfort
- Process, label, and transport specimens to laboratories following strict HIPAA protocols
- Maintain accurate patient records using electronic health systems
- Verify patient identities and prepare specimens for diagnostic testing
- Ensure equipment calibration and sterile technique compliance
- Collaborate with nursing staff to optimize patient flow
- Participate in quality assurance initiatives
Qualifications
- Current Pennsylvania Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASPT or ASCP)
- Minimum 1 year clinical phlebotomy experience
- BLS/CPR certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (Epic/EMR preferred)
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
