Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting in a dignified manner.
- Medication Management: Support clients with the proper administration of medications as directed by licensed nurses or physicians.
- Companionship: Provide emotional support and engage clients in conversation, hobbies, and recreational activities.
- Household Assistance: Perform light housekeeping duties such as meal preparation, laundry, and cleaning to maintain a safe living environment.
- Vital Signs: Monitor and report changes in a client's physical condition or behavior to the supervising nurse.
- Transportation: Accompany clients to medical appointments, therapy sessions, or social outings.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely records of care provided and client progress.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current Florida Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is highly preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in home health or long-term care is a plus.
- License: Valid Florida Driver’s License and reliable transportation required.
- Training: Must possess current CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients and families.
- Background: Must pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift, stand, and walk for extended periods; good physical stamina.
