Responsibilities
- Personal Care Assistance: Provide support with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to ensure patient hygiene and comfort.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Accurately measure and record patient blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and weight.
- Medication Reminders: Assist clients with taking medications on schedule and document administration logs.
- Household Management: Perform light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, meal preparation, and changing bed linens.
- Companionship: Engage patients in conversation, games, and activities to reduce isolation and promote mental well-being.
- Transportation: Safely transport patients to and from medical appointments, grocery shopping, or social events.
- Communication: Report any changes in the patient's condition or behavior to the supervising nurse immediately.
Qualifications
- Certification: Must possess a current and valid Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
- Licensure: Active state license and current CPR/First Aid certification.
- Experience: Previous experience in home care, hospice, or long-term care is preferred.
- Background Check: Must successfully pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
- Driving: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required for client visits.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and families.
