Responsibilities
- Personal Care Assistance: Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, ensuring dignity and comfort.
- Medication Management: Remind clients to take their medications at scheduled times and report any side effects or missed doses to the nursing staff.
- Meal Preparation: Plan and prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and client preferences.
- Companionship: Provide emotional support and engage clients in conversation, hobbies, and light exercise to promote mental well-being.
- Light Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment by performing light cleaning tasks.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Monitor and record client vital signs such as weight, temperature, and blood pressure as directed.
- Transportation Support: Accompany clients to medical appointments and run errands as needed.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current Missouri Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license is required.
- Experience: Previous experience in home health or long-term care is preferred but not mandatory for the right candidate.
- Driver's License: A valid, current driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle are required for this position.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients and families.
- Compassion: Genuine passion for helping others and a patient, caring demeanor.
- Background Check: Must pass a background check and drug screening.
