Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms, sterile fields, and surgical instruments according to protocol
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile environments and enforce aseptic techniques
- Handle surgical specimens for laboratory analysis
- Operate sterilization equipment and maintain inventory of supplies
- Document procedures accurately in electronic health records
- Collaborate with nurses and anesthesia teams during surgeries
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
