Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning based on dietary restrictions.
- Monitor and document patient vital signs, mood, and daily health changes accurately.
- Accompany patients to medical appointments and assist with mobility using walkers or wheelchairs.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of isolation.
- Administer prescribed medications under the supervision of a registered nurse.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks to ensure a safe and clean living environment.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Certificate as a Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is strongly preferred.
- Current State Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license or HHA certification is required.
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable personal transportation are mandatory.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and a patient demeanor.
- Physical stamina to lift, bend, and assist patients as needed.
