Responsibilities
- Process and submit clean claims to insurance carriers and government payers
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits
- Resolve claim denials and billing discrepancies
- Maintain accurate patient accounts and billing records
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and billing regulations
- Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and payers
- Generate regular billing reports and analytics
Qualifications
- 2+ years of medical billing experience required
- Certification (CPC, CMA, or similar) preferred
- Proficiency in medical billing software (Epic, Medisoft, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Associate's degree in healthcare or related field preferred
