As a Home Health Aide, you will play a crucial role in the healthcare team, providing essential personal care and emotional support to our clients.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide assistance with light housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation.
- Monitor and report changes in the patient's physical or mental condition to the supervising nurse.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments and provide transportation assistance.
- Administer prescribed medications as directed by the registered nurse.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to improve the patient's quality of life.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation of services rendered.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; CNA or HHA certification is a plus.
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and First Aid certification.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Physical ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
- Previous experience in healthcare or caregiving is preferred but not mandatory.
