Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Prepare nutritious meals and snacks according to dietary restrictions.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, dusting, and vacuuming to maintain a safe environment.
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes in the patient's physical or mental condition to the nursing team.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments and run essential errands.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to reduce feelings of isolation.
- Document daily care logs and care plans accurately in electronic health records.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification preferred.
- Current CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance required.
- Strong communication skills and a patient, empathetic demeanor.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
