Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, and report any abnormalities to the nursing team.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist clients with eating according to dietary restrictions.
- Perform light housekeeping and laundry duties to maintain a clean and safe living environment.
- Provide companionship and emotional support through conversation, recreation, and socialization.
- Transport clients to medical appointments and run errands as needed.
- Administer medication as prescribed and directed by the supervising nurse.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; certification as a Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred.
- Current Florida HHA or CNA license and state certification.
- Valid Driver’s License with reliable transportation and a clean driving record.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
