Upon completion, you’ll become a certified Phlebotomy Technician with guaranteed placement in one of our partner clinics or hospitals across Dallas County. No prior experience required – just a passion for patient care and a high school diploma.
Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws following OSHA safety protocols
- Process and label specimens accurately for laboratory testing
- Maintain patient records and electronic health documentation
- Ensure sterile equipment and proper specimen handling procedures
- Provide compassionate patient care during blood collection procedures
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient flow
- Participate in continuing education to maintain certification
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- No prior phlebotomy experience necessary (training provided)
- Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain during training)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Must pass background check and drug screening
- Valid Texas driver’s license (for mobile phlebotomy rotations)
