Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Household Support: Perform light housekeeping tasks, meal preparation, and laundry as directed by the patient and case manager.
- Medication Management: Remind patients to take their medications and assist with opening containers.
- Companionship: Provide emotional support and engage in conversation to reduce feelings of isolation.
- Transportation: Accompany patients to medical appointments, social events, and errands.
- Documentation: Accurately document daily care activities and patient progress in electronic health records.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Certification: Current Kansas Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is preferred.
- License: Valid driverβs license and reliable transportation required.
- Experience: Previous experience in home health or long-term care is a plus but not mandatory.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods; ability to assist with transfers.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills, patience, and a genuine desire to help others.
