Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as temperature, pulse, and respiration rate, reporting any abnormalities to the supervising nurse.
- Prepare meals according to dietary restrictions and assist with feeding if necessary.
- Perform light housekeeping and laundry duties to maintain a clean, safe, and healthy living environment.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients and their families.
- Transport clients to and from medical appointments, therapy sessions, or social activities.
- Administer medication as directed by a Registered Nurse (RN) and document administration accurately.
Qualifications
- Current Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required.
- Valid state license and current CPR/First Aid certification.
- Must pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Strong verbal communication skills and ability to work independently.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others.
- Reliable transportation to and from client homes.
