Job Overview
As a Home Health Aide, you will provide essential personal care and companionship to clients in their homes, ensuring they live with dignity and comfort.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes in the client's condition to the supervising nurse or case manager.
- Prepare meals according to dietary restrictions and assist clients with feeding if necessary.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as laundry, bed making, and light cleaning to ensure a safe environment.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, engaging them in conversation and activities.
- Transport clients to medical appointments or social outings using a personal vehicle.
- Document daily care activities and update client care plans accurately.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High School Diploma or GED is preferred but not always required for our paid training program.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Basic computer literacy for documentation purposes.
- Willingness to complete state-required training and certification exams.
