Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting assistance.
- Monitor client health status and promptly report any changes, injuries, or symptoms to the registered nurse or case manager.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding if necessary to ensure the client receives adequate nutrition.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients to reduce isolation and improve mental well-being.
- Perform light housekeeping and laundry tasks specifically related to the client's care and living environment.
- Transport clients to and from medical appointments, therapy sessions, and community events.
- Administer medication reminders and document compliance accurately in electronic health records.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- Certification as a Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in Georgia is highly desirable.
- Valid Georgia Driver's License and proof of auto insurance are required.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check, drug screening, and TB test.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and a genuine passion for helping others.
- Physical stamina and strength to lift, bend, and assist clients with mobility needs.
- Basic computer literacy for documentation purposes.
