Responsibilities
- Personal Care Assistance: Assist clients with bathing, grooming, dressing, and personal hygiene to ensure dignity and comfort.
- Medication Reminders: Prompt clients to take medications as prescribed and report any missed doses or adverse reactions to the supervising nurse.
- Household Support: Perform light housekeeping duties such as meal preparation, laundry, and cleaning to maintain a safe and sanitary living environment.
- Mobility Assistance: Help clients move around the home safely using walkers, canes, or wheelchairs, and assist with transferring in and out of bed.
- Companionship: Engage clients in conversation and social activities to reduce isolation and improve their emotional well-being.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Monitor and record client temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure as directed.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date daily logs of care provided and client condition changes.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid and current Arizona Home Health Aide (HHA) certificate or CNA license.
- Experience: Previous experience in home care, assisted living, or long-term care is preferred but not mandatory.
- Driver's License: A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required to travel to client homes.
- Background Check: Must successfully pass a background check and drug screen.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients and families.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift, bend, stand, and walk for extended periods as needed to assist clients.
