Responsibilities
- Personal Care Assistance: Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Medication Management: Remind clients to take prescribed medications on time and report any changes in health or behavior to the case manager.
- Mobility Support: Provide safe and comfortable assistance with walking, transferring, and using mobility aids.
- Light Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for clients, including light meal preparation and laundry.
- Companionship: Engage in meaningful conversation and activities to promote mental well-being and reduce feelings of isolation.
- Vital Signs: Monitor and record temperature, pulse, and respiration rates as required by the care plan.
- Documentation: Accurately complete daily logs and shift reports to ensure continuity of care.
Qualifications
- Valid Certification: Current Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in North Carolina.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in home health or geriatric care preferred.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance required.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to follow instructions precisely.
- Compassion: A genuine, patient, and caring demeanor with a strong desire to help others.
- Background Check: Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
