Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes in a patient’s condition to the supervising nurse.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to clients to improve their quality of life.
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks, meal preparation, and medication reminders as directed.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments and errands when necessary.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment for patients.
- Adhere to all company policies, HIPAA regulations, and state health care guidelines.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) or State Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in Texas.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a genuine desire to help others.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Physical stamina to lift, transfer, and assist patients of varying weights.
- Reliable transportation to travel between client homes.
