Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, grooming, and dressing assistance.
- Assist clients with mobility, transfers, and light exercises as prescribed.
- Monitor and report changes in patient health, behavior, or medication side effects to the nursing staff.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with light housekeeping and laundry maintenance.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to clients to improve their quality of life.
- Administer medication reminders and document daily care activities accurately.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) certification preferred.
- Current CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on empathy.
- Ability to work independently and adapt to varying patient needs.
- Compassionate, patient, and respectful demeanor toward clients.
