Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, assisting with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and accurately record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, using walkers, wheelchairs, or canes safely.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the nursing staff to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment in accordance with facility standards.
- Administer medication under the supervision of a licensed nurse as required.
Qualifications
- Current State Certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
- Valid CNA license in the state of New York.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Previous experience in a hospital, long-term care, or home health setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced medical environment.
