Responsibilities
- Provide personalized assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with dietary restrictions
- Monitor vital signs and report health changes to RN supervisors
- Perform light housekeeping tasks and maintain safe client environments
- Provide compassionate companionship and emotional support
- Transport clients to medical appointments and social outings
- Implement individualized care plans with precision and empathy
Qualifications
- Valid New York State HHA certification (or willingness to obtain immediately)
- Minimum 1 year professional caregiving experience
- CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Clear background check and drug screening results
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel across NYC boroughs
- Excellent communication skills in English (Spanish bilingual preferred)
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
