Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance to clients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, and laundry.
- Monitor and accurately report changes in a patient's physical or mental condition to the supervising nurse or case manager.
- Transport clients to medical appointments, therapy sessions, and run essential errands.
- Offer emotional support, companionship, and engaging conversation to enhance the patient's well-being.
- Administer medication reminders as directed by a licensed nurse.
- Document daily care logs and incident reports with precision and confidentiality.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- CNA or HHA certification is a plus but not required for immediate consideration.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days).
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a compassionate demeanor.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
