Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene as needed.
- Medication Management: Remind clients to take prescribed medications and report any changes in condition to the nurse.
- Household Support: Perform light housekeeping duties, laundry, and meal preparation according to dietary restrictions.
- Companionship: Engage in conversation, play games, and provide emotional support to reduce isolation.
- Transportation: Drive clients to medical appointments, shopping trips, or social outings.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate daily logs of services provided and client behaviors.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current Texas Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
- Experience: Previous experience in home health or personal care is preferred but not always required for immediate hires.
- License: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods; ability to assist with transferring patients if necessary.
- Soft Skills: Genuine compassion, patience, and excellent communication skills.
- Background: Must pass a background check and drug screening.
