Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as temperature, pulse, and respiration rates, reporting any changes to the nursing supervisor.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients and their families.
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks and meal preparation to ensure a safe and clean living environment.
- Transport clients to medical appointments and social activities as needed.
- Administer medications as directed by the supervising nurse.
- Document daily care activities and patient progress in accordance with company policies.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in California.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate demeanor.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 25 lbs frequently throughout the shift.
- Pass a background check and drug screen.
- Previous experience in home health or long-term care is preferred but not always required.
