Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning based on specific dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to clients to improve their quality of life and reduce feelings of isolation.
- Administer medication reminders and track medication schedules to ensure compliance.
- Perform light housekeeping duties such as laundry, vacuuming, and changing linens to maintain a safe environment.
- Monitor and report changes in a client's physical or emotional condition to the Registered Nurse or Case Manager.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments, errands, or social outings as needed.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation are mandatory.
- CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Previous experience in home care, personal care, or a healthcare setting is highly preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and families.
- Must pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Ability to stand, bend, and lift for extended periods.
