Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding according to dietary restrictions.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients and their families.
- Perform light housekeeping and laundry duties to maintain a safe living environment.
- Administer medication as directed and report any changes in patient condition to the supervising nurse.
- Transport patients to medical appointments or therapy sessions as needed.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required.
- Current New York State Driver's License and reliable transportation.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods.
- Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) certification preferred.
- Compassionate, patient, and detail-oriented demeanor.
