As a Home Health Aide, you will provide essential support to patients in their homes, ensuring they remain safe, comfortable, and healthy.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding patients according to dietary restrictions.
- Monitor and document vital signs, behavior, and physical conditions, reporting any changes to the supervising nurse.
- Perform light housekeeping and laundry duties to maintain a safe and clean living environment.
- Accompany patients to medical appointments, therapy sessions, and run errands as needed.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients and their families.
- Administer prescribed medications under the direction of a healthcare professional.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid California Driver’s License and reliable personal transportation.
- Pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
- Previous experience as a Home Health Aide, CNA, or PCA is a plus but not mandatory.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a genuine, compassionate demeanor.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs frequently throughout the shift.
