Responsibilities
- Provide direct personal care to patients, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature, accurately.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and light housekeeping tasks.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as required.
- Accompany patients to medical appointments and provide transportation support.
- Communicate any changes in patient condition or concerns to the supervising nurse.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for the patient.
Qualifications
- Current, valid New Jersey Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in home health care or long-term care is highly valued.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Physical ability to lift, bend, and assist patients with mobility.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
