Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Medication Support: Remind clients to take prescribed medications and observe for adverse reactions.
- Companionship: Provide emotional support and engage clients in conversation and recreational activities.
- Household Assistance: Perform light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, meal preparation, and light cleaning.
- Monitoring: Track and report any changes in the patient’s physical or emotional condition to the case manager or nurse.
- Transportation: Accompany clients to medical appointments and errands as needed.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current Kansas Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
- Experience: Previous experience in home health or long-term care preferred.
- Driving: Valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle.
- Background: Must pass a background check and drug screening.
- Skills: Strong communication skills and a genuine desire to help others.
- Physical: Ability to lift, stand, and walk for extended periods.
