Responsibilities
- Bathing, Grooming, and Personal Care: Assist clients with daily living activities to ensure personal hygiene and comfort.
- Medication Management: Remind clients to take their medications and assist with light medical tasks as directed by nursing staff.
- Meal Preparation: Plan and prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Light Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for the client.
- Companionship: Provide emotional support and engage in meaningful conversations to reduce isolation.
- Transportation: Accompany clients to medical appointments or social outings.
Qualifications
- Valid HHA or CNA Certification: Current state certification required.
- Experience: Previous experience in home health or personal care is preferred but not always required for the right candidate.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Compassion: A genuine passion for helping others and patience.
