Responsibilities
- Prepare and package prescription medications accurately according to physician orders.
- Verify the accuracy of prescriptions and check for drug interactions.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, stocking, and counting medications.
- Assist customers with prescription inquiries and provide medication counseling.
- Process insurance claims and handle co-payments efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Document patient information and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications
- Current Pharmacy Technician certification (PTCB or ExCPT) required.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and drug interactions.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Basic computer proficiency and typing skills.
- Valid driver's license is a plus.
