Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding based on specific dietary restrictions.
- Monitor client health status and report any changes, accidents, or concerns to the Nursing Supervisor immediately.
- Perform light housekeeping and laundry duties to ensure a safe and clean living environment.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments and provide transportation support as needed.
- Administer medication reminders and accurately document care logs and daily activities.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to clients to enhance their quality of life.
Qualifications
- Current Washington State Home Care Aide (HCA) or Personal Care Assistant (PCA) certification is strongly preferred.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid Washington State Driverβs License and reliable transportation required.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, and tuberculosis (TB) test.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for patient care.
- Ability to lift and assist patients weighing up to 250 lbs safely.
- Basic computer proficiency for electronic charting and documentation.
