Your Role
As a Home Health Aide, you will assist clients with daily living activities, ensuring they maintain their independence and dignity.
Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist clients with bathing, grooming, dressing, and oral hygiene.
- Medication Management: Remind clients to take prescribed medications and report any side effects or missed doses to the supervising nurse.
- Household Assistance: Perform light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, meal preparation, and cleaning to ensure a safe and comfortable living environment.
- Companionship: Provide emotional support and engage in meaningful conversations and activities with clients to combat loneliness.
- Mobility Support: Help clients transfer in and out of bed, chairs, or wheelchairs using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Documentation: Accurately complete daily care logs and progress notes regarding the client's condition and activities.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED is required. Current HHA or CNA certification is preferred.
- Experience: Prior experience in home health or caregiving is a plus, but not strictly required for the right candidate.
- Valid Driver's License: Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
- Soft Skills: Demonstrated patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and medical staff.
